In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customer’s personal information; the reasons NLD chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

What we do
How does NLD protect my personal information?	To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
How does NLD collect my personal information?	We collect your personal information, for example, when you open an account give us your income information provide employment information provide account information give us your contact information We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.
Why can’t I limit all sharing?	Federal law gives you the right to limit only sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness affiliates from using your information to market to you sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.
Definitions
Affiliates	Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Affiliates of NLD include: NorthStar Financial Services Group, LLC CLS Investments, LLC Blu Giant, LLC Gemini Alternative Funds, LLC Gemini Hedge Fund Services, LLC Gemini Fund Services, LLC Northern Lights Compliance Services, LLC Orion Advisor Services, LLC Constellation Trust Company NorthStar Topco, LLC NorthStar CTC Holdings, Inc.
Nonaffiliates	Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. NLD does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.
Joint marketing	A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products and services to you. Our joint marketing partners include other financial service companies.
